A Level results
2006
We are delighted to announce this year's Saint Michael's College A Level
results
* 98.5% of our entries were passes
* 60.5% of these were A or B grades, including 6 A grades in Maths and 4 in
Physics
* The average points score was 275 per student
This is the fifth year in a row in which the pass rate has increased
For the first time ever Saint Michael's appears in the Times list of the Top
500 Schools in the UK.
Top performers:
Nastasha Park passed all four of her A Level subjects with an A grade (she also
got a B grade in AS Critical Thinking). She has accepted a place to do
Dentistry at Birmingham.
Natasha Yusof achieved three A grades and one B. She will now read Law at
Warwick University.
Other students have been accepted to do Civil Engineering at Warwick and
Bristol; Biomedical Sciences at King's College, London; Pharmacy at Bath;
Psychology at Nottingham and Financial Economics at Essex.
AS results We were equally pleased with the AS results:
* 95% of the entries were passes. " A remarkable 77% of these were A or B
grades.
This is the fourth consecutive year in which our AS grades have increased.
Foundation course
We are very pleased to announce that all nine of our Foundation course students
have gained places at the following universities in the UK:
Durham (two students), Oxford Brookes (three students) ,Aston, London
Metropolitan,Hertfordshire, Staffordshire.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the A Level and
Foundation course students on achieving such wonderful results. Also to pay
tribute to the hard-working and dedicated teaching team we have. They really do
care about each and every student. Well done to all concerned! |
