Saint Michael's College places great importance on the welfare of the students entrusted to us and great care and attention is given to each individual student in the school.

On arrival a student is allocated a member of the teaching staff as his/her personal tutor. It is the role of the tutor to ensure that the student has settled at the school, is happy, feels looked after and is given any help required on matters academic and non-academic. Tutors also write regular reports to parents on the student's progress.

The school has a counsellor to whom students can talk about more personal matters.

The school also has a nurse whom students may see if they are feeling unwell. In the event of a more serious medical or dental problem the nurse will arrange for the student to see a doctor or be taken to a local hospital.

Students who choose to live with host families are collected each day and taken to and from College by our own school buses and minibuses. The families we select are usually no more than 30 minutes from the school. No student is expected to walk or to take public transport.
